Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering or related is preferred
  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience focused on industrial automation and/or motion control products and solutions
  • Ability to read technical drawings and write technical proposals
  • Strong territory management, planning, and time-management skills
  • Proven success in value-added, solution-based selling
  • Comfortable using CRM tools to manage projects and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, and ability to learn and effectively us a CRM
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive drive to exceed goals
  • Valid driver’s license, some travel is required

Nice To Haves

  • IFPS Certified Fluid Power Specialist (or similar) a plus
  • Experience selling Siemens products is a plus
  • Experience in the sales of fluid power components and systems is a plus
  • Experience with these products is a plus
  • Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs)
  • Pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, filtration
  • Electrical controls, VFDs, motors, linear actuators and guides
  • PLC control systems
  • Pneumatic systems and air prep
  • Component kits and repair solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to grow existing accounts and capture new business
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead qualification, cold calling, presentations, and closing
  • Serve as a technical resource to customers—understanding applications and recommending solutions
  • Partner with internal technical and customer service teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
  • Use CRM and sales tools to manage time, territory, projects, and opportunity pipeline
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships that drive repeat and referral business
