About The Position

Engenuity Fiber Engineering specializes in fiber deployment services for telecommunication broadband companies, offering high-level and low-level design, permitting, program management, quality control, and field compliance. The company's mission is to deliver high-quality, efficient infrastructure solutions while maintaining fair pricing and exceeding client expectations. The Outside Plant Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to OSP engineering, network design, OSP construction, and ensuring the efficient deployment of fiber optics infrastructure. This is a full-time hybrid role where the candidate will work from a home office but is required to attend in-person meetings with local permitting offices, municipalities, and occasional site visits within their assigned market.

Requirements

  • Outside Plant and OSP Engineering skills
  • IQGEO, VETRO, AutoCAD Experience
  • FTTH Network Design expertise
  • OSP Construction knowledge
  • Experience in OSP deployment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Katapult, Ocalc, Make Ready Analysis
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of Network Design
  • Familiarity with OSP Construction and OSP Engineering
  • Expertise in Telecommunications Engineering, particularly with regard to innovative approaches such as Fiber to the Home (FTTH)
  • Effective collaboration through tools like Microsoft Teams
  • Thorough understanding of Permit Applications
  • Must be located in Greater Chicago, Phoenix, or Orlando area
  • Able/willing to travel to permitting offices and on site meetings
  • Must reside in or near assigned market
