About The Position

As an Outside Parts Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing a personal network within the sales territory to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the trailer industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trailer parts and their applications
  • Interaction and communication with company personnel, vendors, existing customers and potential customers
  • Must possess professional sales and effective communication skills
  • Must have a valid and appropriate license and the ability to safely drive long-distances
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree, Trade or Technical School preferred

Responsibilities

  • Initiates sales calls to current and prospective customers from branch office
  • Utilizes suggestive selling techniques to encourage additional sales of specials
  • Completes all quote requests from these calls
  • Establishes weekly route for personal sales calls
  • Occasional retail counter responsibilities at the branch location
  • Pulls and loads items from parts warehouse that are necessary to keep a well-stocked and organized parts truck
  • Drives parts delivery truck to customer's establishments (frequently requires overnight stay) and unloads sold products to customer
  • Visually inspects all parts inventory and recommends additional replacement orders
  • Keeps abreast of company product updates, changes in technology and industry trends
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
