About The Position

TPC Deere Run is a championship golf course located in Silvis, Illinois, and is seeking Outside Operations Staff to provide critical service to its members and guests. This role is often the first point of contact for individuals arriving at the club. The TPC Network, owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, consists of 30 premier golf properties known for outstanding conditioning, amenities, and a commitment to environmental excellence and charitable giving.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education
Previous experience working in customer service, preferably in a country club or equivalent

Responsibilities

Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable golf experience.
Greet and welcome members and guests.
Assist in pulling golf cars from the facility to the bag staging area at opening.
Remove golf bags from member’s and guest's cars and load them onto golf carts.
Drive golf cars to the staging area.
Provide members and guests with miscellaneous information to help them play the course (e.g., yardage markers on sprinkler heads are measured to the middle of the green).
Provide members and guests with thoroughly cleaned and well-operating golf cars stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair material.
Drive dirtied golf cars to the car washing area, wash and wipe them down, and restock with clean supplies.
Drive golf cars into the golf car facility and plug them into the battery charger at closing.
Ensure the Golf Car Facility is always clean and orderly.
Perform periodic car maintenance and minor special repairs, and update car service records.
Service the practice facility by driving the picker and mechanically picking up golf balls.
Set up the practice facility for play and continually replenish practice balls.
Patrol the practice tee using a golf cart to pick up trash and practice golf ball bags.
Rotate the practice facility area according to the tee maintenance program.
Collect, clean, and bag balls at the end of play, culling damaged balls to ensure all range balls are in excellent condition.
Assist members and guests as they depart, ensuring golf clubs are cleaned and carried to their vehicles.
Work closely with Golf Shop staff to ensure adherence to club rules, including dress code and beverage policy.
Ensure no member or guest carries their clubs to or from the practice facility, parking lot, or clubhouse areas.
Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
