Outside Commercial Sales Representative-Construction & Building Materials Industry
About The Position
DH Pace Company Inc. is seeking an Outside Commercial Sales Representative in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves developing relationships with existing customers and actively seeking new ones through prospecting to sell commercial doors. The company is a family-owned, privately held business with over $1 billion in annual sales and more than 60 offices across the continental United States. DH Pace is a leader in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security products. The company will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience calling on business to business – ideally calling on commercial accounts selling retrofit to end-users; however, will consider other applicable experience, especially if “mechanical” type products have been sold
- Must possess a Valid Driver’s License
- Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree, highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Meet with decision makers to influence the purchase of our comprehensive line of commercial doors and related door products and services
- Cultivate sales within commercial and industrial buildings owners/managers, colleges, K-12, municipalities, and hospitals in Raleigh and surrounding areas
- Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards
- Provide timely, accurate estimates and proposals
- Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) daily
- Other duties as assigned
