About The Position

The DH Pace Company is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their Locksmithing and Keying Division for their commercial line of business in Tampa and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals with a talent for sales and business development. DH Pace is a family-owned, privately held company with over 60 offices across the United States, specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security products. The company is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience.
  • Ability to understand technical applications and mechanical systems.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and a natural affinity for taking care of customers.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Lock hardware & key systems experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Blueprints/Plans and Specs is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Call on commercial accounts in the Tampa and surrounding areas.
  • Focus on mechanical locking hardware, electromechanical locking hardware, wireless locking hardware, and related key systems (keys and cores, SFIC and LFIC).
  • Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates and proposals.
  • Meet with existing and prospective customers to assess needs and sell technical and mechanical goods and services.
  • Develop scope of work for proposals and manage all details from initial call to closing the sale.
  • Follow up to close customer projects and participate in project management when necessary.
  • Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
