About The Position
To provide substance abuse and gambling education to Suffolk County Schools and Community Organizations to prevent the escalation of the addictive disease process. Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience in addiction field
- Must have valid driver's license
- Access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel
Nice To Haves
- CASAC OR CPP certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Report statistical information and complete necessary reports to OASAS and agency
- Develop presentations to be used for community education
- Attend community events as needed
- Deliver presentations to community organizations/events regarding warning signs of abuse and overdose
- Implement Model programs in Suffolk County School districts at various grade levels.
- Provide in service trainings as requested by agency staff
- Respond to requests for information about substance abuse, gambling and overdose prevention.
- Participate in agency trainings and those managed by OASAS.
- Other duties as assigned
