About The Position
The International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Administration Office, an extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University (OSU), is seeking applications for an Outreach Program Coordinator. IFSAC is a peer-driven accreditation system for fire service certifying entities and fire-related postsecondary degree programs. IFSAC has a growing membership base that includes more than 80 fire service certifying entities and more than 40 fire-related collegiate institutional programs, located throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa. More than three million IFSAC seals for certification have been issued to fire service personnel worldwide. This position coordinates assigned business, financial, event, governance, member-relations, and organizational functions for the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and its administration office, an extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University (OSU). Operating with minimal direction and cross-functional collaboration, the Coordinator manages daily workflows, resolves operational issues, and analyzes information to ensure successful execution of stakeholder expectations and organizational objectives. The position requires sound judgment, effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders, and specialized knowledge of IFSAC operations, governance, policies, and procedures. When delegated, the employee may act on behalf of the IFSAC Manager within established authority. Specific assignments within these functional areas may be adjusted by the Manager based on organizational priorities, staff capacity, and operational needs. This position requires occasional in-state, national, and international travel. Conference, meeting, and workshop travel occurs two to four times per year and typically requires overnight stays of four to six nights. Other occasional travel may require overnight stays of one to six nights. International travel will vary in frequency. The position may require standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Two or more years of prior successful work experience.
- Valid driver's license for ground and air transportation.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with various individuals, groups, and stakeholders.
- Experience with financial, purchasing, travel, or other administrative processes.

- Experience with accreditation, certification, professional standards, or related organizational environment.
- Familiarity with OSU systems, policies, and procedures, such as Banner, AIRS, and Concur.
- Ability to coordinate workflow, guide process completion, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively in group settings.
