About The Position

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults. The Outreach & Enrollment Team is responsible for establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services. They provide outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals and collaborate with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients. The role involves receiving and following up on referrals, identifying and establishing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities, and participating in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team and the HealthNet organization. Attending all required trainings is also a responsibility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services.
• Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
• Collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients.
• Receive and follow up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner.
• Identify, establish, and maintain ongoing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities.
• Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
• Attend all required trainings.
