The Outreach Coordinator oversees the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs, and assumes responsibility for creating, planning, preparing, and executing varied programs to reach targeted populations. This role also includes Medical Driver functions for Mobile Unit Operations & Accountability, serving as the primary driver of the mobile research unit and other IDRU vehicles, ensuring safe and reliable transportation of staff, specimens, and equipment. The position plays a key role in the operation and maintenance of the IDRU Mobile Research Unit (Class C RV, approximately 31’–32’ in length), overseeing setup, logistics, and operational readiness. The individual will maintain full responsibility for the cleanliness, organization, and clinical readiness of the unit at all times, including performing post-visit cleaning and reset, proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials, and overseeing deep cleaning activities. Routine inspections, maintenance coordination, and vehicle logs/safety checklists are also part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves operating facility-based transport (e.g., golf cart) and coordinating supply transport, specimen drop-off/pick-up, and lab-related logistics.
