About The Position

The Outreach & Community Engagement Coordinator supports the school’s marketing, communications, and community relations efforts for a private residential school serving students and adults with intellectual disabilities. This role helps coordinate outreach activities, strengthen community partnerships, support brand awareness, and ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across internal and external communications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and relationship-focused—someone who enjoys coordinating projects, managing communication details, supporting events and outreach efforts, and helping position the school as a trusted and welcoming resource within the broader community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (marketing, communications, business or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, or outreach—preferably in: Special education, Independent or private schools, Residential programs, Human services or disability‑focused organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Able to pass drug screen and background checks (no felonies, no abuse, assault or neglect convictions)
  • Willing to complete TB skin test and work physical upon hire.
