About The Position

This role involves conducting direct recruitment activities, developing linkages with referral sources, preparing and providing outreach presentations, maintaining accountability logs, assisting with contacting prospects, scheduling and leading tours, following up with attendees, conducting tour surveys, assisting with recruitment goals, referring youth to support agencies, preparing reports, conducting pre-arrival calls, and assisting with new student arrival activities. The assistant will also promote Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students, and monitoring behaviors through interventions, while maintaining accountability of staff, students, and property and adhering to safety practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Social media and computer proficiency are also required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking; develop linkages with referral sources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations, local high schools, one-stops, and churches; participate in center tours; contact potential enrollees to explore enrollment.
  • Prepare, schedule, and provide outreach presentations in the assigned area; provide outreach presentations in support of the regional outreach efforts.
  • Maintain accountability logs of organizations contacted, individuals contacted, referrals to screening agencies and subsequent enrollments.
  • Assist with contacting prospects, scheduling tours, and information sessions in coordination with admissions staff.
  • Assist with leading tours, follow up on all attendees with an email, text message or phone call.
  • Conduct a tour survey and communicate to supervisor and the center for follow-up.
  • Assist with the attainment of outreach/recruitment goals each month.
  • Refer youth to designated screening or other support agencies, as appropriate.
  • Prepare necessary and required reports related to the recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Conducts pre-arrival calls to prospective students.
  • Assist with career preparation period and other new student arrival activities.
  • Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
  • Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.
