About The Position

Niagara College is seeking an Outreach & Education Advisor for the Student Recruitment Division, located at the Welland Campus. This temporary position, with a starting hourly rate of $45.37, involves providing recruitment services and information to prospective students, applicants, and their supporters. The role operates primarily within assigned territories, often independently or remotely, and requires strategic planning, relationship management, and proactive engagement with potential students. Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in any field of study
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a post-secondary educational institution or related industry, with proven experience in account management, sales, and marketing in either a B2B or B2C capacity
  • Strong understanding of academic operations including post-secondary, continuing education, preparatory and apprenticeship programs and pathways in and out of college
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a diverse population
  • Experience with CRM systems for inputting, tracking, engaging clients as well as analyzing activity and outcomes
  • Experience delivering presentation material to large and small audiences, both virtually and in person
  • Proven skills in business development and client management
  • Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, problem solving, analytical and teamwork skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) as well as other interactive online presentation platforms
  • Must have a valid class G driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Oversees assigned recruitment territories (Halton Region and Kitchener/Waterloo Region) by analyzing enrolment data, developing and implementing strategic recruitment plans, and managing relationships to achieve College enrolment goals
  • Maintains expertise in college programs, admissions, and student services to provide accurate guidance and develop data-informed recruitment strategies based on regional and demographic trends
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and adjusting overall territory recruitment plans as part of an integrated recruitment and marketing strategy, including integrating plans for a minimum of 75 accounts direct from secondary and non-direct prospective students
  • Usage, and monitoring, of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data through customized reports and other analytical tools, such as Power BI
  • Proactively engage prospective students by researching, preparing and delivering information through events, communications, or presentations within their territories
  • Responsible for development and coordination of off campus liaison recruitment activities for potential students such as high school visits, industry and community events within their assigned territories, collaborating with departmental staff where necessary
  • Develop and deliver engaging multi-media presentations, conduct 1:1 appointments online and in-person and execute recruitment events in their territories
  • Act as the key contact responsible for identifying, building and maintaining strategic ties with influencers from all markets within their territories
