About The Position

Gratiot Integrated Health Network (GIHN) has an immediate opening for a full-time, Masters prepared clinician, to provide outpatient therapy services to adults, children and families residing in Gratiot County. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling.
  • Michigan licensure appropriate to professional degree, i.e., LPC, LLPC, LMSW, LLMSW, is required.
  • Experience in the diagnosis and provision of services to individuals with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities in a mental health or other human services agency.
  • Must be a QMHP with a minimum of one year related work experiences.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge and use of appropriate approaches, skills and techniques which reflect an understanding and awareness of trauma and social, cultural and economic diversity of the target population served.
  • Demonstrate computer skills, including entering and retrieving data.
  • Must be able to read and interpret statistical data.
  • Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must exhibit strong spelling, grammar and both oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid Michigan Driver’s License is required.
  • Must meet successful clearance of criminal and driving background checks.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or related field, is required.

  • Must have experience in the diagnosis and provision of services to individuals with mental health illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders in a mental health or other human services agency.
  • Must be a QMHP with a minimum of one year related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for those who have a desire and ability to work with children and families.
  • Experience with substance use disorders, or willingness to learn about substance use disorders, preferred.
  • Three years of work experience in the mental health field.
  • Desire and ability to work with Children and Families is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient therapy services to adults, children and families.
  • Maintain documentation to agency and professional standards.
  • Operate agency vehicles or transport consumers in personal or GIHN owned vehicles.
  • Support the goal of person-centered planning and integrated care throughout the recovery process.
  • Develop competencies to support the understanding of the complexities of the human condition and the manner in which physical health, substance use disorders and physical and/or emotional trauma are interrelated to the need for mental health services.
  • Enter and retrieve data using computer skills.
  • Read and interpret statistical data.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
