Outpatient Therapist (PRN)
About The Position
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116-bed facility located in the Kingwood community, approximately 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services and provides psychiatric and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, the hospital offers intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services. The Therapist role supports the daily operations of the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs, encompassing administrative functions, utilization review, assessment, discharge planning, group/individual therapy, case management, and other duties essential for program success.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
- Must possess a TX State licensure: LPC, LPC-I, LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT or LCSW required.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
- Must be available to attend the full hospital orientation: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Complete psychosocial assessments
- Provide group therapy or co-lead groups
- Provide individual/family therapy sessions and crisis intervention
- Provides case management services to patients in Inpatient &/or PHP/IOP
