About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. This is a part-time position in the evening, working four days a week, five hours a day. The position is hybrid once fully trained, involving a couple of days at the facility and a couple of days working from home. Partial Hospital Therapists are responsible for completing various duties and tasks, including conducting psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members. They participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that concise, realistic care plans are carried out. Therapists provide individual, group, and family process-oriented therapies, as well as conduct other didactic groups using various professional treatment modalities. They are also responsible for documenting treatment provided to patients in the medical record legibly and in a timely manner. Additionally, they conduct and attend regular treatment team meetings to provide a social service perspective to the total case management of the patient with the interdisciplinary team by presenting the patient’s case and progress towards treatment plan goals, making treatment recommendations, and actively coordinating each case with all members of the treatment team.

Requirements

  • LPC, LSW or LCSW required.
  • MSW or master’s degree in a recognized mental health field required.
  • Two years of partial hospital experience
