RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a Licensed social work or counseling Outpatient Therapist at our Oak Ridge, TN, location. The right fit LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT will have the opportunity to use and further develop their skills with a diverse range of clients as part of a tight knit team. Requirements
- Requires independent TN license including LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, and/or PhD with corresponding Master's Degree or higher.
- Must be trained in providing trauma-informed treatment with willingness to become trauma-certified.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with people from differing backgrounds and cultures.
- Comfortable and competent using telehealth equipment and electronic health record to provide and document mental health services as needed.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of experience working with clients suffering with substance use issues.
- Group therapy skills for grant-based positions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of outpatient clinical services consisting of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, including psychotherapy and consultation with other disciplines.
- Facilitate the awareness, growth, and psychological development of the client
- Build rapport with the client through empathic listening, caring, and warmth
- Be authentic, genuine, and transparent
- Play a significant role in resolving serious issues and conflicts within the family
- Encourage and motivate individuals to tackle their mental health and behavioral problems effectively
- Provide a safe environment and establish a warm, comfortable therapeutic culture
- Maintain license as LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT
