Provides direct patient care in Physical Therapy and performs other related duties to assure smooth, coordinated running of the department within the pediatric Outpatient Clinics. Identifies, diagnoses, and treats patients with a wide variety of disabilities. Participates in program planning, development and implementation. Participates in Quality Improvement. Counsels and instructs patients/families and medical professionals involved with the patient's rehabilitative needs, monitors patient progress, ensures that recommendations are followed. Maintains clinical records according to established procedures. May participate in outreach event coverage and education/mentorship of students/residents as appropriate. This Sports Physical Therapist position is a 1.0 (40 hours/week). Typically developing patient population with sports and orthopedic injuries including but not limited to post-surgical rehab, fractures, growth and overuse related injuries, trauma, spine, sports specific rehab and concussion. Opportunity for collaboration with broader sports med team including surgeons, primary care sports med, athletic trainers and sports PT's at other regional clinics. Looking for candidates with interest in sports medicine rehab with potential for occasional on-field coverage for interested applicants. Youth/adolescent sports and orthopedic background strongly desired, with additional pediatric experience potentially including coaching, teaching, mentoring. Work schedule will be Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri with mutually agreed timings to meet clinician and patient care needs - providing before and after school appointments to support the clinic.
