About The Position
Per Diem Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. For more information, please visit our website: https://metropolitanbh.com Position Summary The Outpatient Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Requirements
- MSW or MA in Counseling only
- LMSW or LPC will considered the experienced LLMSW & LLPC
- Requires at least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility
- Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills
- Must have strong clinical assessment skills
- Combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered
- Per diem/contingent licensed Master-level Social Workers to assist on busy days and cover days off of others
