About The Position

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) at the Powell Outpatient Care Point (OCP) provides comprehensive nursing care across all phases of the endoscopic procedural experience, supporting a diverse patient population undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy. This location features five endoscopy procedure rooms designed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The RN is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the pre‑procedure, intra‑procedure, and post‑procedure phases. This includes collaboration with physicians and the procedural team, recovery care, patient education, and discharge preparation. The RN will work with physicians, anesthesia partners, and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and a seamless procedural experience. The Patient Care Coordinator - Registered Nurse (PCC-RN) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. Position Summary The PCC-RN is responsible for managing care to the patient and family, and for directing and supervising the other members of the patient care team. He/she is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care of patients. The PCC-RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership and development of the patient care team. Individuals within this position must be able to function fully within performance expectations defined for nurses in a surgical setting. Position located at OSU Surgery Center - Gowdy Fields. Call assigned on a rotating basis and as late cases arise.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current Ohio licensure or interim permit.
