About The Position

Cardinal Health operates the outpatient retail pharmacy at Orange City Area Health System. This is a 340B retail pharmacy servicing outpatients of the critical access hospital. The pharmacy averages 120 - 150 prescriptions per day and provides medications for a local LTC facility. The retail pharmacy team works closely with the inpatient pharmacy team to provide cross coverage and overall top notch pharmacy patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
Multitasking and time management skills.
May require vendor credentialing.

Nice To Haves

340B Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
Participating in supervision of technical staff.
Ensuring pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facility.
Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Coordinating and supervising the daily activities of operations or business staff.
Administering and exercising policies and procedures.
Ensuring employees operate within guidelines.
