About The Position

The Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) CAP 1 is an entry-level designation in the Clinical Advancement Program. The RN is accountable for providing and coordinating clinically competent care—including patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for an assigned group of patients. The role may include delegating appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff, such as RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, the RN participates in decision-making, patient and family education, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that support patient outcomes and facility operations. Duties are performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policies, procedures, nursing practice standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. The RN works under the direction of the Supervisor, with guidance from a Clinical Educator or Preceptor and in collaboration with other Registered Nurses. Dialysis experience is not required; paid training is provided. Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The clinic plans to add Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, so schedule flexibility is required. The role involves direct patient care in a healthcare facility and may require travel to training sites or other facilities. The position offers an hourly rate of $31.00–$52.00, depending on work location and the candidate’s qualifications.
