This position is an entry-level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) for a professional registered nurse. The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This role may involve delegating tasks to direct patient care staff such as RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, this position contributes to decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes and facility operations. The position is based in Hibbing but may float to Grand Rapids and Eveleth. Clinic hours are Monday-Saturday 4:45 am-4:30 pm. Training is full-time, averaging around 40 hours/week. The position itself is for 30 hours per week with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. No previous dialysis experience is required, as on-the-job training is provided.
