About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for a part-time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join their outpatient therapy teams. This role focuses on caring for the pediatric population in La Crosse, WI and Winona, MN, providing patient-centered care close to home. The Physical Therapist will work with children, teens, and families to examine, evaluate, diagnose, prognose, and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes. This includes developing plans of care, providing treatment techniques and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function through collaboration with referring providers and other clinical staff. The role involves creating plans of care with individual goals, age-specific activities, milestones, and family education, and helping children and teens improve balance, coordination, proper positioning, motor development, build skills, and provide mobility training and adaptive equipment recommendations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
State of Wisconsin & State of Minnesota Physical Therapist Licenses
Current BLS for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Must be credentialed with Gundersen prior to starting

Responsibilities

Work with children, teens, and families to examine, evaluate, diagnose, prognose, and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
Develop plans of care and provide treatment techniques and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
Collaborate with referring providers and other clinical staff ensuring optimal patient care through appropriate and timely methods of communication and treatment.
Create a plan of care that identifies individual goals, age-specific activities, milestones, and family education that will be integrated into each follow-up session.
Help children and teens overcome challenges, improve balance and coordination, improve proper positioning, teach motor development, provide age-appropriate developmental activities and intervention to build skills, and provide mobility training and adaptive equipment recommendations.
