About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen has an opening for a full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our Healthy Living Center team, primarily working with and treating orthopedic patients. The Healthy Living Center is a collaboration between Emplify Health and the La Crosse Area Family YMCA, aiming to connect healthcare, wellbeing, and community to achieve longer, healthier lives and support a stronger community. The center provides individuals and families with classes and programs staffed by Emplify Health and YMCA professionals to foster healthy lifestyles and helps community members transition from medical care to Y-supervised programming. As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will develop plans of care, provide treatment techniques and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function and movement. This role involves collaboration with referring providers and clinical staff, ensuring optimal patient care through communication and treatment. The Healthy Living Center offers a unique environment where Emplify Health Physical Therapy can guide patients into a community-based exercise program at the YMCA, ensuring optimal outcomes. The therapy team includes 3 PTs, 1 PTA, a Rehabilitation Technician, and a therapy scheduler.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist License
Current Infant-Adult BLS for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Must be credentialed with Gundersen prior to starting

Nice To Haves

Physical Therapist board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) desired
Prior experience with outpatient ortho patients or internship desired
