About The Position
Assists in the nonprofessional aspects of preparing and distributing medications and performs the clerical duties of the department. All medication-associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists).
Requirements
- High School education
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
- Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.
- Demonstrates knowledge in aseptic techniques for the preparation of IV solutions.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital’s Information System (Pharmacy and B/AR), as well as the ability to work in Microsoft’s Word and Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred but not required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification & NYS license preferred.
