Works under the supervision of the Pharmacist Supervisor and Community Pharmacy Manager. The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator is responsible for coordinating advanced pharmacy technician activities across SOMC Community Pharmacy Services. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of specialized pharmacy initiatives, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Adherence Packaging, Hospice Services, Pharmacy Education, Training, and Onboarding, and other clinical or operational programs. The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator serves as a subject-matter expert for the advanced service they’re involved with, leading education and training initiatives for pharmacy staff for these service lines. To ensure expertise, the Pharmacy Technician Coordinator obtains advanced certifications and credentials to maintain expertise in specialized areas. This position works collaboratively with pharmacy leadership to optimize workflows, support clinical programs, and enhance patient outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned.
