About The Position

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join their skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ. This position is benefit eligible. Weisman Children's is a highly-acclaimed, community-based pediatric organization consisting of an acute care rehabilitation hospital, outpatient rehabilitation centers, and medical day care centers. They specialize in delivering individualized, family-centered care by including family and caregivers in every step of the rehab process, along with an interdisciplinary approach to treatment, to help patients reach their fullest potential. The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team, responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21. They are responsible for adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association. The OT uses creativity, professional judgment, and problem-solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes. They participate in patient and family teaching and work collaboratively with other disciplines. The OT plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of physical skills, play-based activities, social-emotional development, sensory processing, motor performance, and cognitive abilities.

Requirements

  • MA/MS/MOT in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program
  • NJ OT licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • 1-2 years of pediatric OT experience
  • CPR certification
  • Strong organizational / time management skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team member

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with treating sensory processing disorders in an outpatient setting
  • Experience working with neurological and vestibular diagnoses
