About The Position

Patriot Outpatient Therapy is a veteran-owned and family-operated company seeking an Outpatient Occupational Therapist (PRN) to serve in Assisted and Independent Living facilities within Portage and Northern Summit Counties. Requirements

Must be a graduate of an Occupational Therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Must be licensed by the state.
Must have at least one year of institutional experience.
Must have a criminal background check.
Must have current CPR (BLS) certification.
The ability to drive.
Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care.
On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Preferably should be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Responsibilities

Assist the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the patient's needs.
Assure that the physician's orders are appropriate and discusses necessary changes.
Teach, supervise, and counsel the family and patient in the total Occupational Therapy program.
Communicate with the physician on a regular basis regarding patient's status, obtaining additional orders, if necessary.
