About The Position

The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury. Through the use of physical and functional assessments, level of dysfunction is identified; plan of care is determined and documented. This position implements care plan through the use of evidence based modalities and skilled interventions to increase patients' ability to achieve mutually established functional goals. The occupational therapist educates the patient/caregivers in treatment and care to engage patient in being an active participant in continuing activities at home. This position monitors and evaluates outcomes related to the assessment and plan of care.
