As an Outpatient NP at our hospital, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients. You will coordinate decision-making with the psychiatrist, perform clinical assessments, and develop treatment plans. Our team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists, and educators. Requirements

Completion of a Master’s Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited nursing school.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Conducting follow-up visits after initial assessments.
Participating in weekly staffing and family sessions.
Prescribing pharmacologic interventions as necessary.
Reviewing laboratory and diagnostic test results.
Consulting with attending psychiatrists and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to perform clinical assessments, adhering to psychiatric and medical nursing procedures.
Communicating with patients, families, and others to obtain required information.
