About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Family Practice Registered Nurse (RN) to prescribe, coordinate, and deliver high-quality primary care nursing within an outpatient medical clinic. Using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—the Office Nurse independently manages patient care plans, administers prescribed medications and treatments, and provides clinical leadership to Medical Assistants and LPNs. The role works within a collaborative primary care team and emphasizes patient education, health promotion, and compassionate care.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Prior nursing experience.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and outpatient equipment.
Strong patient education and clinical documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Outpatient primary care or family practice experience.
Experience as a nurse; experienced nurses are preferred for independent clinic integration.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical intake assessments, evaluate patient needs, administer prescribed medications and vaccinations, and carry out treatment interventions.
Direct, teach, and supervise LPNs and Medical Assistants performing delegated clinical duties.
Collaborate with primary care physicians and advanced practice providers to manage acute and chronic patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about disease management, preventive care, and wellness strategies, and advocate for patient needs.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and prompt medical records in compliance with clinical protocols and privacy regulations.
