About The Position

The Outpatient Coordinator maintains referral management and coordinates all outpatient services. The role serves as the lead support person for the hospital-based and/or freestanding outpatient clinic. Where applicable, the coordinator makes recommendations to management regarding scheduling, hiring, and performance management of clerical staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong medical terminology.
• More than one year of experience in a medical office position or healthcare registration function.

Responsibilities

• Maintain referral management.
• Coordinate all outpatient services.
• Serve as the lead support person for the hospital-based and/or freestanding outpatient clinic.
• Make recommendations to management regarding clerical staff scheduling, hiring, and performance management, where applicable.
