About The Position

The Outpatient Clinical Associate is a Qualified Professional (QP) responsible for providing behavioral health services to clients with an emphasis on completing mental health screenings, PCPs, and follow-up clinical support for children/adolescents, adults and families. The Qualified Professional services clients in office, home, and community settings. This position may serve as a developmental clinical role for individuals pursuing associate behavioral health licensure in North Carolina.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Service-related field required.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in mental health required.
  • Strong therapy, prescreening, and clinical interviewing skills
  • 1 year of experience providing urgent care or crisis intervention required
  • 2 year of experience providing behavioral health clinical interventions.
  • Experience in completing Mental Health Screenings Treatment Planning / Person-Centered-Planning Expertise
  • Efficient & Effective Practice Management in a Clinical Setting
  • Client Focus & Strong Ability to Function as a Team Member
  • Strong Individual, Family, & Group Support Skills
  • Flexibility with willingness to work in office, client home, and/or community
  • Experience serving children/adolescents and adults with DSM-V diagnosis (mental health needs) and their families.
  • Self-motivated and committed to continuing personal and professional growth.
  • Competence in written and oral communications, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and literacy.
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Able to adequately complete additional assessments and mental health screenings as needed
  • Demonstrate ability to function under pressure and independently.
  • Effective, empathetic, interpersonal skills (oral and written) that build mutual trust and respect with youth and their families, agency staff, and the professional community.
  • Demonstrate ability in working collaboratively with professional colleagues, local and state officials, referral sources and community groups.

Responsibilities

  • Completes clinical mental health screenings, CFTs, and PCPs.
  • Provides supervised behavioral health support services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Assess progress toward goals of individuals served, coordinating supports and resources, as needed.
  • Prepares and submits documentation of services within 24 hours of service delivery.
  • Assists with crisis response and care coordination under supervision as indicated.
  • Consults regularly w/ clinical team members on member care.
  • Communicates w/ Behavioral Health colleagues, Primary Care providers, and other providers and agencies as needed to facilitate integrative care.
  • Participates in staff development meetings and in quality of care activities on a regular basis.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
