About The Position

At Riverwood Center we have a team of caring and committed professionals providing a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years’ experience working in a medical office environment
  • Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills, be punctual, organized, have the ability to multi-task, and work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes, schedules, re-schedules, makes reminder calls and back-fills appointments
  • Answering the telephone and performing other general clerical duties
  • Collects co-pays, financial and demographic information
  • Develops, edits, and maintains paperwork, and reports
  • Provides clerical support to the team
