About The Position

This role is for an Outpatient Cardiac Nurse Coordinator at Barnes Jewish Hospital, an award-winning hospital ranked among the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The Cardiac Cath Lab, a division of the Cardiovascular Procedure Center, is at the forefront of technology, utilizing advanced angioplasty techniques, valvuloplasty, and percutaneous valve replacements. The Staff Nurse (RN) is a crucial member of the patient care team, employing critical thinking, clinical expertise, and critical care skills to continuously assess patients' responses to procedures. Responsibilities include administering conscious sedation, monitoring sedation levels, managing airways, and advocating for patient needs. The Outpatient Cardiac Nurse Coordinator specifically coordinates the healthcare of select patient populations across the continuum of care, managing patient contact, providing education, and preparing patients and families for procedures in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• RN
• 2-5 years of experience
• At least 2 years of Bedside Experience Required
• Accept ADN/BSN/MSN Candidates

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac Procedural Experience Strongly Preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
