This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia, CA. A city nestled by the San Gabriel Mountains, known for it’s blend of suburban charm and natural beauty. Home to the renowned Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden and the historic Santa Anita racetrack. Arcadia offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation and rich cultural heritage.

Requirements

Physical ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, and pulling; able to stand for extended periods.
Willingness to pitch in and help co-workers across tasks as needed — true team-player mindset.
Ability to communicate with diverse guests to understand their needs and provide attentive, personalized service.
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisors accurately and promptly.
Attentive and guest-focused service skills; able to anticipate needs and respond proactively.
Basic math skills to total bills and process payments accurately.

Responsibilities

Present the menu to guests, answer questions, and make knowledgeable suggestions regarding food and service.
Write or memorize guest orders accurately.
Relay orders to the kitchen and service bar; serve courses and beverages promptly and professionally.
Observe guests throughout the dining experience to fulfill additional requests and identify when the meal has been completed.
Total the bill and accept payment or direct guests to the cashier.
Assist with food service tasks as needed, including ladling soup, tossing salads, portioning pies and desserts, and brewing coffee.
Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course as needed.
Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly fashion throughout the shift.
