About The Position

The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is looking for an Outlets Supervisor (F&B) to join this awesome hotel team! Previous F&B Supervisory experience preferred. The Outlets Supervisor (F&B) will be responsible for assisting the department head and team in the overall daily operations of the outlets and in achieving the overall success of excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years progressive experience in hotel food/restaurant service operations.
  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work – Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous F&B Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations within the outlets.
  • Must be able to oversee multiple areas throughout their shift; including our in-house restaurant, the day and night bar, the executive lounge and room service.
  • Supervises daily F&B shift operation and meets the brand standard; with a high emphasis on sequence of service.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand specific service culture
  • Responsible for menu knowledge, promotional beverage programs and daily food and drink specials.
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure financial responsibility while providing excellent guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for pre-shift meetings with the team to communicate pertinent information.
  • Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees’ absence.
  • Communicates areas that need attention to staff and providing guidance to achieve higher guest satisfaction scores.
  • Upholds a cleaning program to ensure clean and safe common work areas for all employees.
  • Creates good synergy among employees and encourages team work.
