About The Position

This is a full-time position for an Outlet Team Member at Goodwill North Central Texas. The Outlet store operates 7 days a week, and the team member will work a varying schedule of four 10-hour days with three days off. The role involves operating the POS system, handling cash, providing customer service, and sorting/filling merchandise according to production quotas. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a warehouse environment. Goodwill North Central Texas is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other team members.
Operate POS system and credit card draft terminal.
Read, write and possess good math skills.
After in-house training, successfully operate various types of equipment for material handling.
Team player mentality with the ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals/quotas.
Open availability to work varying schedule of (4) 10-hour days weekly with 3 days off.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
Employees under 18 years of age are not allowed to operate hazardous equipment (compactors, balers, augers, tippers, forklifts of any kind, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operate POS system according to company guidelines.
Follow all company cash handling procedures.
Register merchandise through cash register in proper department according to established guidelines, count down cash drawer, make correct change, and operate credit card terminal.
Keep cash wraps clean, neat, and organized.
Provide excellent customer service.
Answer telephones at designated times.
Use Softline and Hardline tippers to fill tables with outlet store product; move tables to staging area and/or store floor; move tables to sorting area for recycling sort; meet established daily production quotas.
Sort items accurately and efficiently from outlet tables into bins for commodity sales; meet established daily production quotas.
Perform all necessary cleaning functions in all areas of the store.
Other duties as assigned.
