Outlet Associate
About The Position
The outlet associate will receive incoming product, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of floorspace and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, product sorting areas, storage areas and grounds. Responsibilities include receiving incoming merchandise. Subsequently sorting and processing them for the appropriate places. Also, foster long-lasting relationships and educate customers regarding our products and services. Additionally, facilitating the flow of product and merchandise to its final destination at the end of product lifecycle. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No experience necessary, will train.
- Works with confidential information.
- Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
- This position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods.
- The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Trustworthy.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Ability to work safely and co-operatively in a variety of situations with a variety of team members is essential.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming product, and sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness of floorspace and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, restrooms, product sorting areas, storage areas and grounds.
- Foster long-lasting relationships and educate customers regarding our products and services.
- Facilitate the flow of product and merchandise to its final destination at the end of product lifecycle.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, including safety, courtesy, and positive communication.
- Ensure that other staff members maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of warehouse(s), sorting area(s), storage container(s), restroom(s) and other surrounding areas.
- Perform light grounds keeping as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the commercial waste receptacle area, including the breaking down of large unsellable items and placing neatly into appropriate receptacles.
- Responsible for the movement of processed and unprocessed product and other items between work areas.
- Operate heavy equipment (will be trained and certified as needed).
- Assist staff with the loading and unloading of items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location.
- Work closely with supervisor and assist with daily duties.
- Manage time, prioritize tasks, and balance cash wrap activity.
- Maintain the appearance of the cash wrap and surrounding sales floor area.
- Complete all tasks that are given in an efficient and timely manner.
- Communicate daily with the leadership of needs.
- Communicate clearly and calmly with guests and team members.
- Share the mission of St. Matthew’s House with guests and the general public.
- Perform duties, and assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Outlet Manager to ensure efficient store operations.
- Adhere to policies and procedures of St. Matthew’s House.
