  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational tasks ranging from simple to complex, to manufacture, modify, and repair a wide variety of tooling and gauges with varying shapes and geometries.
  • Work from drawings, photos, sketches, and verbal instructions regarding methods and equipment to be used to set up, operate, and adjust conventional or CNC machine tools to machine and repair new and used jigs and gauges.
  • Plan work to be performed by machinists on different types of machines.
  • Manufacture molds, mix and pour products.
  • Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain appropriate records.
  • Maintain inventories of critical details for the repair of gauges and jigs.
  • Participate in the development of new tools to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in solving problems encountered on production lines by improving tooling in conjunction with planners and designers.
  • Wash, preserve, package, and move parts, ensuring standards and specifications are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean, and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.
  • Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates.
  • Organize and maintain the workstation and adhere to our high standards for health and safety at work at all times.
