About The Position

We're Hiring Seasonal Outdoor Recreation & Adventure Facilitator! This is a seasonal, part-time, and on-call position with flexible scheduling for mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Hours are based on guest and group bookings and are typically scheduled several days in advance. The compensation ranges from $16.90 to $17.25 per hour, based on experience. This role involves leading students through a variety of outdoor recreation and experiential learning activities, aiming to build their confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Requirements

Passion for working with youth in outdoor environments.
Strong communication and group management skills.

Physically able to participate in outdoor activities for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Background in recreation, physical education, youth development, or experiential learning.
Certifications in ropes course facilitation, archery, or canoeing (or willingness to be trained on the job).
1+ years experience leading youth in physical or adventure-based settings.
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
Comfortable with risk management and outdoor leadership.

Responsibilities

Facilitate outdoor adventures such as: Canoeing, Archery, Ropes courses (high/low), Team-building games
Guide students through leadership and personal development challenges.
Encourage teamwork, confidence, and communication skills.
Lead evening programs like: Stargazing, Night walks, Campfires
Ensure proper safety procedures and equipment use.
Adapt activities based on group dynamics, weather, and ability levels.
