About The Position

Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 40 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT. The Outdoor Adventures Supervisor will be responsible for creating personalized guest interactions in the SPMC Youth & Outdoor Adventures Department, ensure the accuracy of the equipment rental process, guide nordic and snowshoe experiences, oversee arrival and departure of all guest equipment, coach Associates, and maintain proper record keeping.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to pass all binding indemnification test from all ski manufacturers in skier services.
  • Have a vast array of knowledge about recreational activities applicable to the area.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree or educational equivalent preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Nordic cross country PSIA certification preferred.
  • Luxury hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Strong passion for customer service; experience handling and resolving guest concerns in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills-ability to communicate effectively with guests and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees scheduling of associates.
  • Guides nordic ski and snowshoe excursions around Spanish Peaks Mountain Club.
  • Overseeing department cleanliness and department organization.
  • Ensuring all standards are met (Safety and risk management protocols, Guest service standards (timely service, professionalism, and personalization)).
  • Competent handling guest complaints in a professional manner.
  • Train Associates.
  • Be a primary resource regarding local mountain conditions, weather, trails, lift access points, and dining options on property and around the mountain.
  • Occasional assistance with youth programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.
