About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position(s) available in Campus Recreation. Days/Hours Applicants must be available to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) Travel to outdoor locations - field trips Start Date Position(s) available on or after March 2, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Nice To Haves

Previous outdoor experience (camping, hiking, climbing, etc.)
Customer service or leadership experience
Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, Wilderness First Aid)

Responsibilities

Assist with the growing outdoor adventures program through the development, marketing, and implementation of new ideas/concepts.
Assist with accurate inventory of supplies and rental equipment.
Perform equipment rental, checkout, and return services in accordance with program procedures.
Collaborate with campus departments to support special events and outdoor programs.
Assist with the facilitation of workshops and presentations related to outdoor activities and trips.
Scan, track, file, and maintain member liability waivers for students, faculty/staff, and alumni.
Assist with maintaining updated website and social media platforms.
Assist with 25 Live.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of marketing and promotional materials.
Assist in creating and editing fillable forms in-house and online.
Assist Campus Rec staff with day-to-day operations.
Other duties as assigned.
