About The Position

Qualifications Currently enrolled student at UW-Superior in good academic standing Experience working with outdoor adventure programming Experience planning, leading, and evaluating wilderness trips (day trip and multiday expeditions) Excellent people, communication, customer service, and organization skills Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to lead and facilitate required meetings and trainings Technical knowledge, ability to teach, and evaluate a wide variety of outdoor skills Ability to work with all ages of all populations in a variety of group sizes Preferred Qualifications: Has or is willing to obtain CPR, WFR or WFA, PCIA/AMGA, LNT, and ACA Certifications Experience with Fusion software, and Canva (or other digital design software) RESPONSIBILITIES Hire, train and develop, supervise, schedule, and evaluate Superior Adventures and Climbing Wall staff Assist in the daily operations, design, implementation, and evaluation of all programming areas, which includes, but is not limited to, outdoor gear rentals, outdoor skill clinics, and wilderness trips Assist with promoting wilderness trips, rentals, clinics, and climbing wall Coordinate communication for students, professional staff, facilities staff, participants, external users, and community members about programs Assist in decisions involving disciplinary action to program supervisors, student staff, and/or participants as necessary Assist in the development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of program policies and procedures Oversee and manage equipment inventory and equipment maintenance; including gear retirement and replacement Serve as an active member of the Campus Recreation Leadership Team Participate in staff development activities sponsored by UWS, Division of Student Affairs, and/or the Department of Campus Recreation Other duties as assigned Student Supervisor, Level 2.$13.00/hour. Responsibilities
