The Outbound Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating daily route manifests, ensuring receiving and shipping windows are met, and communicating any concerns to the supervisor. This role involves updating the Hot Parts Board for expedited parts, managing dock and yard inventory trailer movements to support production and supermarket lines, and maintaining a trailer tracking sheet. The clerk will also manage and maintain accurate paperwork for trailer inventory in the yard, keep records for the seat shipping system (BOS requirements), and coordinate logistics to and from outside warehouses. Additionally, the position requires diligent maintenance of records for packing slips and returnable containers, managing a system for tracking Truckload Utilization (TUMS), and working with minimum supervision. The role also includes maintaining all CTPAT requirements (trainable), ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and maintaining all BOS requirements for shipping, receiving, and transportation management. The ideal candidate must be computer literate, familiar with appropriate software, and able to create visual aids for communication. This position requires an up-to-date forklift license.
