Outbound Quality Control - 1st Shift
About The Position
Inspect, check, test and package product to required specifications. This role involves picking and packing orders, completing departmental documentation, and calculating total footage for production orders. The position requires the ability to perform basic math functions, make sound judgments on operational procedures and product quality, and make appropriate decisions for problem-solving. Physically, the role demands the ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, see small defects and differentiate colors, stand for long periods, and possess high manual dexterity and fine motor skills. The employee must be able to walk the facility regularly and remain on feet for the majority of the shift.
Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math function (add, subtract, multiply and divide) on various units of measure.
- Ability to apply basic math functions to whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Ability to make sound judgment on operational procedures and product quality.
- Ability to make appropriate decision in regards to problem solving, and product quality.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see small defects and differentiate colors during in-process quality control procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Requires high manual dexterity and fine motor skills in both hands.
- Must be able to walk the facility regularly and remain on feet for the majority of the shift.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years prior experience in a manufacturing facility.
