About The Position

Sandvik is seeking an Outbound Planner to manage all customer activities, including order flow and addressing issues and requests from the Sales Area. This customer-facing role is responsible for customer analysis and performance for the frontline regions. The position can be based in Romeoville, Illinois, or Elko, Nevada.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Order processing, Distribution, Supply Chain and Customer Service
  • Experience managing internal and/or external customer accounts
  • Good working knowledge of International Trade and Freight process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in interacting with Logistics Service Providers.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to Aurora, DI, and PowerBi is an advantage.
  • Experience with a Transport Management System desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Daily release of customer orders, including auto, mass, and manual release orders.
  • Daily review of suspended orders.
  • Execute order cancellations based on customer requests, superseded items, etc.
  • Work with Inventory, Warehouse, and Freight teams to ensure efficient customer order flow within the Core Network.
  • Interface with Order Desk, Customer Services Centers, and front line Sales Staff to ensure expected customer service.
  • Monitor Outstanding Sales Orders between Logistics Operations and the Sales Area.
  • Resolve order issues such as incorrect addresses or shipping instructions.
  • Resolve allocation problems daily, specifically suspended orders or cycle count problems.
  • Review and resolve outstanding orders requiring source changes, PO or DRP links, or order placement.
  • Weekly review of “Hold till complete” orders, addressing inventory availability or new PO/DRP creation.
  • Review and resolve LPS tickets daily related to expediting orders, shipment discrepancies, etc.
  • Review Unit Down Orders and expedite accordingly on a daily basis.
  • Track all LPS for timely and quality resolution.
  • Daily resolution of Sales orders that did not generate Purchase Orders in System 21.
  • Quarterly review and maintenance of Customer Masters.
  • Weekly communication with internal/external customers regarding progress on all open orders.
