The Outbound Operations Lead is responsible for supporting daily outbound fulfillment operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. This role provides floor leadership, coordinates shipping and marketplace order execution, supports transportation readiness, and helps drive productivity, quality, and service-level performance throughout the fulfillment center.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or logistics experience.
  • Experience in outbound operations, shipping, or order fulfillment.
  • Working knowledge of WMS systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previously held a position of coordinator, team lead, or support to leadership is preferred.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily outbound activities including picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
  • Assign and prioritize work based on order volume, service levels, and operational needs.
  • Monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks to maintain productivity and on-time shipment performance.
  • Support daily floor execution and provide guidance to associates throughout the shift.
  • Manage marketplace and express aged orders through Optipulse.
  • Prioritize aging orders and support backlog reduction initiatives.
  • Monitor order flow and resolve fulfillment exceptions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain FedEx shipment logs and shipping documentation.
  • Track operational metrics including UPH, order accuracy, shipping volume, and service levels.
  • Assist with departmental reporting and performance updates.
  • Train and coach associates on operational procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
  • Support labor planning and staffing adjustments as business needs require.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
