About The Position

This warehouse position is responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise, pallets, and master containers for shipment or transporting them on delivery vehicles under general supervision. The role also prepares products for shipment by weighing, handling, transporting, marking, addressing, loading, and packing them for proper delivery and condition. The position requires physical stamina, safe equipment operation, and compliance with safety regulations and standards. The employee must be able to work Sundays and nights. The work environment includes exposure to noise, loud signals, cold, heat, heights, and constant movement of vehicles and power jacks. Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. The job description notes constant lifting of boxes weighing up to 100 pounds as an essential duty and states that the employee may have to lift up to 50 pounds in its physical demands section.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to work on Sundays.
Be able to work nights.
Be able to read, write, and understand English.
Have basic arithmetic skills.
Have good physical stamina.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Three months of warehouse experience and/or three months operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and/or a history of physically demanding roles preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload shipments as required.
Load trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions.
Arrange products to prevent damage and maintain load stability for driver safety.
Wrap pallets by machine or by hand to ensure stability.
Unload and clean out trucks as necessary.
Operate stock trucks and mechanical jacks safely throughout the plant.
Prepare products for shipment under general supervision by weighing, handling, and transporting them as necessary.
Mark, address, load, and pack products for proper delivery and condition.
Hand-load products onto trucks as required.
Comply with all safety regulations and standards.
